Yeah its looking good.
I know gwinn can still race on sunday but does anyone know why he was disqualified? And where is Minnaar?
Thinking Jones and simmonds in the mix as well.
SUch tight racing on a rowdy track. This is awesome!!!!

Found minnaar at 61 just behind Jack Isles

No idea why Gwinn was disqualified…maybe he cut the course?

Greg Minnaar qualified 61st, well…who knows? Bummer about Gee. And one hell of an incredible run by Bruni and Thirion.

Tracey Hannah…well, that is one serious gap, eh?

Oh so it's not cool anymore? Sorry didn't get the memo.

Connor Fearon quali'd 6th on flats. Shame he isn't a confident bike rider. I'm sure with clips and more confidence he'd easily be on the podium…

clips or flats won't make any difference on a track like that.

but maybe my sarcasm meter is outta whack. ;)

Should be a good one. A bit of a shake up with some perennial contenders starting earlier in the field. I think this year will be much like last season. Any race will be up for grabs.

Nice to see someone run stiff suspension and not get swallowed up in the holes. I'm surprised more World Cup racers don't do this. Its not exactly a big secret.

Haha, yeah I was just jokingly poking fun at one of the comments from the "clips vs flats" thread. Shame he crashed in his race run. Looked like he was on a flyer from the start.

Is it the second coming? Will we see the same level of domination as we did before?

Yeah Gwinn has been on this program for a while.
I just think it is a ton more work to run it like that on such a physically demanding course. He puts the work in and gets rewarded.
Great race over all. Mechanics nightmare

No doubt its rougher than hell, but even at the WC level watching guys getting swallowed up into holes is cringe-worthy. You see Gwin's bike skipping over the top of the ruts and holes, its gorgeous. MX racers have known this for decades, while it seems downhillers are barely just catching on. Its weird. At that pace they all need to up the stiffness of their forks.
