I thought these were xc races. I guess i have to pay more attention.

"Enduro"

I'll be on my XC hardtail - 100 mm 29'er.

At least I'll be sweep and not giving a toot about my time. Please don't make me have to pick anyone up off the rocks!

haven't been down pipeline in a long time; is the long ladder bridge / teeter stuff part of the course? i seem to recall there was a ride around, but don't remember riding it.

The long ladder and teeter in the upper part of the trail are removed from the course.

Also the teeter in the lower part of the trail is removed from the course.

Looking forward to the Toonie!

But Brian, your map is killing me…

Its Leppard, Krinkum, then Kirkford.
You need to switch Kirkford and Krinkum Krankum, as you have it the other way around.

FWIW, you might be messing up a few people thinking the coarse goes all the way down to Cedar Trail from Leppard.

:)

I don't think it's the firs time I've screwed up switching those names.

weird, I've always known it as leppard, kirkford then Crinkum Crankum. That's how its listed on the old NSMBA map (http://nsmba.ca/trail-maps)
The locals guide has it the way you listed it though: Leppard, Crinkum Crankum then Kirkford.

I wouldn't be too concerned with messing anyone up. The line on the map and the description make it clear that Stage 1 finishes at the 3rd switchback.

I'm sure we went through the "what's the correct names for these trails" when we created the map data last year. The ones on the map should be based on the physical signs that are actually at the top of the trails.

Leopard, Kirkford, Crinkum.

Go ride your bike more and internet less (yeah, I'm one to talk). Trailforks is wrong.

Going way away back it looks like there was an alternate upper Kirkford line and a Crinkum Crankum.

I think the upper is the old Crinkum line and the lower is the old Kirkford, so that would have TRD as correct…

I forget what the actual signs on mountain say as I never look at them.

I think for a future Toonie I'll just post a big question mark for the map and no written description, then I'll just go flag routes and it's up to you guys to find the route while pre-riding. A treasure hunt :)

Hmm Sharon [HTML_REMOVED] Wade's guide book has it listed as Crinkum-Crankum then Kirkford.
I also just asked one of the NSMBA trail builders and he says that is correct.

So fun! First toonie for me, I'll be there for the next one for sure. All of us fixing our flats at the end of pipeline was hilarious.

Another kick ass event from the NSMBA. I left the event feeling like I just robbed the place … only $2 for such a good time!?! How can it be? Huge thanks to the vollies, the sponsors, the man who made my tasty burger, and the organizers, you lot are the best.

Shirk, don't forget to massage the times a little when you fix my Stage 1 beep in, m'kay.
