It seems crazy the season is about to start- my son is beside himself in anticipation for the DH opener in Cumberland.

Thanks to all who came out for the inaugeral Campbell River Island Cup XC race. Sounds like folks enjoyed the fast and flowy course (faster and flowier than the 50k course anyhow).

Hope to see you back again next year.

So we have some great news on the Island.

1. First DH race drops in Cumberland in 2 weeks on April 17th

2. Hammerfest road is good to go with a new gate! (We were sweating on that one)

3. Be sure to mark your calendars for Hornby Island June 25th [HTML_REMOVED] 26th. If you ever came to Bike Fest in the 90's then you'll want to come for this one. Tig and crew are back after 9 years to host a great weekend of riding and relaxing!

Since some of you have noticed price difference at various races, come with a crew and check out the races on Vancouver Island.

XC races range from $10-$20 and DH Race are $30 including day of shuttles.

It's amazing value for the awesome courses on the Island.

That's likely the wettest, muddiest I have ever been. The trails took a beating. Most of the new work on Teapot had disappeared by the third lap.

Luckily the leg cramps didn't start until I tried to get out of the car when I got home.

good times though, cumberland never disappoints.
