Probably going to tag-team it with my bro inlaw. He did it last year as a 4-some and found he didn't get a lot of laps in.

Doesn't sound like Im getting myself into a slaughterfest, but Im sure Ill be a bag of poop covered hammers by the end of it.

Curious to know the lap distance as well?

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

I wouldn't call myself fast (compared to the spandex guys) and I have always hit around the 30 min lap times.

Revised course this year due to some of the logging. Should still be fun. Most of the climbing is on gravel with single track descents.

Lets not forget Port Alice is 1 1/2 weeks time. Will there be camping available? Course probably closed Mid day saturday for XC? I am trying to go up friday to get a few runs in before the XC. Anyone else going to this one?

free yahoo camping at the legion (with 3am trumpet band/dj on turntables), plus pay camping at Ozzie Land.

I'll be there for the XC and providing first aid coverage on the advanced section of the DH course.

.

Didn't you race solo last year? That puts you in a whole other league.

Maybe I should have said "not fast" rather than " not super fast"

yep rode solo, at a casual "ride all day" pace. There was definitely no race pace happening.

What a wicked weekend. If you ever want to go a little further a field than normal for a race, this is the one to go to. The whole town of Port Alice comes out to support it. Awesome track, awesome party, awesome people.

Silly photo needs silly caption…

Reps if you can identify the NSMB-names of the two people in the picture…

Chris, nice work on the upper steep section of the Rumblefest DH, you were definitely one of the smoother guys through there.
