Some cops do get a kick out of it. I've been arrested for
1) riding my skateboard on the Hermosa bch pier (I was the first there)
2) riding my skateboard on the sidewalk in Kailua Oahu on my way to swim practice.
Both of these were handcufs and all. I went to court on the first, never paid (I think the statute of limitation is over;-), the second was thrown out by the judge. The cop should of just given me a ticket and he arrested me instead when I refused to let him look in my gym bag. He got very angry and loud when he found nothing in there but speedos, goggles, and a towel. I guess it's easier to arrest a 16 y/o with a skateboard on his way to swim practice than stop guys from smoking crack at the beach. [/rant]
I think that it is necessary to be obnoxious and to ask questions loud when the authorities won't answer you, and use intimidation ("don't take my picture or I'll take your camera"). Showing force of numbers shows the powers that be that it's not just a couple of kids, but a whole community that's involved.
I'm sorry for this long post, but as you can see I've had my share of hobbies getting treated like I was doing ice or crack.
I never saw that video before, it only makes the cops look bad when they arrest a 15 y/o for something as benevolent as riding a bike.
