Did he break the lowers or lowers/stanchions?

another angle…

and the brake is an avid code which adds support to the prototype myth…

unless avid have started using that supid motorcycle lever that magura use for the gustav, and have abandoned the idea of pistons on either side of the rotor moving, then its a Magura gustav. Though that would have had F*ck all to do with a fork breaking like that - unlike casing huge gaps, which would easily cause a fork to do that.

Desloc, I'd say he just snapped the lowers, the stanchions look fine to me.

I have seen that pic before, I was going to post it but then I forgot. That is exactly why I stick with marzocchi.

This is my brother's 2004 Super T.

So now that Marzocchis and Rock Shox snap, I guess you need to get a Manitou.

Freerider-1,

but that's a two year old fork on an ex-WBP rental. Given the amount of those forks out there (03+ Jr and Super Ts), very few of them have had problems. I would venture to make an educated guess that statistically they are one of the most reliable forks on the market.

.It is a light weight downhill fork for racers, not a huck fork.when you land hard on an angle where the fork cant compress something is going to break.

Oh, I realize this. I was bringing to Air Supplier's attention that every fork snaps, even Marzocchis, which apparently he didn't think could happen. I meant the Manitou comment in sarcasm. I forgot to put  after it. In my opinion, generally a snapped fork does not diminish a company's reputation. It is inevitable.

Buy my damn bike.
