Is that not the end of kirkford? Great pics though.
Always a favorite.
Thanks for the great photos!
Please let me demonstrate the ride around; really it's no trouble.

that's the end or Crinkem at the 3rd switchback, which is where kirkford starts.

The NSMBA map is wrong.
The line from the top of the seventh switchback is:
7th Secret
Leppard ( named after the buy who built it, NOT Leopard)
Crinkem Crankem
Kirkford ( named after the guy who built it)
to Cedar trail.

The Crinkum Crankum sign is at the bottom of Leopard, just up from the access trail from the 5th switchback. What demarcates the two trails for me is the colour and the amount of ground cover, Leopard being very full and green, while Crinkum most of the way down is very brown and dry feeling.
The DNV has put a confusing sign for Leopard on the road at the 5th switchback. The sign doesn't indicate that this is the bottom of the trail, not the top. The entrance to Leopard is the Y-shaped ladder bridge on the trail exit from Seventh.

the new bridges have definitely tamed that spot, for better or worse. it was interesting riding them for the first time; the surprise sharpened by the musk of fresh cedar

I've only ridden the trail once - wondering where the line is?
Thanks!

Ya, I thought the Leopard sign there is odd since there is no trail called Leopard and Crinkum Crankum starts from there.
