I thought I'd share Curtis' and mine new rides with you and the story of getting them:
Curtis came over on the ferry this morning, and brought all his parts to build up his new rig. The plan was to go pick them up, swap a shock at OGC and then build them and go ride. Defently didn`t go like that. Curtis showed up in time and we were off. The trip to PT. Roberts was normal, till we got to T-town, the police were out in uber full force, must have been 10 cars and several more officers in less then 2 kms.
Crossing the board was well a bit of a hassle. We both forgot out citizenship cards, birth certificates, and we were a bit slow getting across. Pick the frame up and everything was in order.
Way back we new we had to delcare it and we thought we had our papers in order. long story short we didnt have a packing list and they wanted one, and we waited an hour or so untill some one told us we could just make our own and then 10mins later we were off.
OGC was great, swaped a shock for use, we had a wierd sized one for soem reason and then it was off to see something wierd but we didnt know it. On the way back to langley, on HWY 99 every over pass had firemen hanging a flag over the railing, and then after the massy tunnel there were 5 cop cars parked on a diangonal along side the highway, made traffic mess btw. later one a huge fire fighting rig had 4 people on top of it in the center of merge lanes. Any one know what that was all about?
Picked up our parts from my house and headed down to BSP to build them up. Had a bike building race, Curtis won …. but I had had to change a bunch of stuff to mount the shock. And a special thanks to Chris Ryskamp for helping me try to catch up to cutties. I forgot a few parts at hom so thats why its missing pieces.
The 2 of them together,
A shot of mine:
