probably crouching monkey, near the top, just before the flat woodwork.

thanks for riding during those conditions - you're setting a great example.

devil's advocate:

if there is already that much water running down the trail, do you think one little mtb session is that bad?

but yeah maybe not the best example for the kiddies

problem -------------- solution

where do you fit in that spectrum?

obviously the trail needs some drainage work done.
but do you assume they only rode riverbeds that day?
it sets a bad example. if you can't agree with that then you are not part of the solution.

some folks here spend their weekends doing trailwork and spend their days working with local governments to get mountain biking seen as a legitimate recreation resource.

posting pics of pro's riding down a creek does more to harm mtb'ing than help it imo.

Once its a creek, where's the damage?

really?

unless it is flowing over bedrock, that creek will continue to erode that trail into a deeper and deeper trench. Riding the trail under those conditions will only accelerate the process.

kinda like CBC and MOAD?

Sorry to disappoint you, Dave - but I can remember a time when it was possible to complain and criticize on this very forum.

When the users had decent, sometimes difficult, arguments going - and it was all done in a well-written, and usually, honest way.

Tell me, Dave, has the forum on nsmb gone the way of everything else these days - the way of finding everything cool and worthwhile and whatnot?

What has happened to grown-ups discussing things in a civilized manner?

What has happened to riders, builders and professionals who would probably not have supported certain images, say, 4 years ago?

Have they all "grown up" - refusing to still look closer and stand by an opinion, and not follow a trend, or give in because it is easier?

This is not nsmb as I remember it from the beginning ten years ago. This is turning into a pinkbike for grown-ups in cubicles.

i suggest a ban on riding in the sea-to-sky corridor from October to April.
any board members documented riding in this period will be stripped of their rep points.
punishment will escalate severely for repeat offenders.

if that's an actual trail, the builders have way more issues that someone riding down it.

i agree. but does that mean it's a good idea to use it as a promotional photoshoot?

i'm lucky enough to not work in a cubicle, thank god.
i don't know what it was like in 2001, but there is plenty of constructive discussion around here these days.

there is good work being done around squamish to improve the trails, but its hard to catch up/keep up, especially with the number of people riding all winter instead of doing trail maintenance.

i can't understand how you guys think its ok to ride in these conditions, let alone spray it all over the interwebz. you guys dig much?

if you think it doesn't matter, or is not for me to criticize, then i guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
