Deadliest Catch uses GoPro cams attached to magnets to get awesome shots of the pots coming out of the water and various other angles.

Very versatile cam.

Very versatile cam.

They were using GoPros for the HBO 24/7 Penguins/Capitals mini-series. Attached them to hockey pucks to get the "puck's perspective"

one of the gopro guys was talking about this at crankworxs, really cool what can be done with them. kind of similar to this too

The problem with the stock gopro is the curved lens port on the housing that distorts the image while underwater. There's a guy in Cali who makes flat port housings which work wonders - called EyeOfMine.
