We ran into a group, in full downhill battle armour, last year - it looked to be a class (or maybe a tourist group). I recall my first time down Nicole's on my 80 mm hardtail, I wouldn't have minded some extra padding then, ironically I was riding the hardtail when we came upon this group.

Having said that I probably wouldn't bomb down Nicole's, I been on it enough times to encounter hikers walking up it, regardless of the weather or time of day.

That trail can get fast and gnarly if one wished. Rode it yesterday on my slayer, and while I could take all the man lines, a DH bike would have pinned that trail.
