NBR- What camera setup for the up comming season

The 70-200 VR is definitely bigger and heavier… I am not sure that's such a good thing.
It is slightly sharper wide open, but in test where the user doesn't know which lens you shot with, I'd bet $$$ they can't tell the difference. Heck, when I look at similar images from both lenses, I can't tell.

But what's an extra $700 over two years? A few Starbucks lattes.
You might as well spend the money if you have it.

or extra pocketwizards and flashes and a lighter backpack for the sacrifice of VR?

It's a blow-off valve. Very important. Without it, the whole BB would ex/implode, taking all photography-related questions with it…
