[NBR] Canada Day Fireworks

Judging by the number of tripods set up on Lonsdale Pier, I wasn't the only one snapping pictures last night. Let's see everyone's Canada Day fireworks shots!

I feel awkward even posting my crappy cel phone pics after Dan's amazing image but here's an angle no one else will get. This was taken from the back deck of my tug while we were holding the Dundarave fireworks barge in position. One has to be quick to snap a shot, keep the barge in position and not be hit by flying debris!!

I had a real cool fireworks experience last night. My Parents live on acreage and the next door neighbours daughter got married yesterday. They had a pryo company come in and do a private fireworks show. Nothing like watching from 200m away, getting hit with debris and ashes in your eyes.

my wife and daughter watching the fireworks at Lafarge Park in Coquitlam last night. The show was pretty impressive

That's awesome, must've been wild being so close.

It was pretty cool feeling the compression of the shots; not so cool trying to duck flying debris and ashes!!

see, that's why I don't take pictures.

watching the Peachland and Penticton fireworks simultaneously from Smoke's deck was pretty cool. The plumes were at eye level half a km away and 40 km away, a first for us.
