we hiked all over it a couple of years ago… the whole face has eroded quite a bit since bender hit it… maybe not quite as big as it used to be… quite a bit of chunder on the landing. the landing is so flat and hardpacked i wouldn't want to go more than 10 or so feet on to it

We hiked up a few years ago to look at it. All I can remember is how steep the landing was while I was walking up. Then when we got to the takeoff spot, still freshly raked out from the first bender attempt, I almost shit my pants getting close to the edge. And when you look at the landing from the take off, it looks as flat as a parking lot. Even if you did land it, the big rocks towards the bottom of the run out would soon end your claim to fame. I don't know, after standing atop that monstrosity, how anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together would ever consider doing that. But then you have those cliff hucker skiers, pushing the record at almost 300ft. I guess it's the kind of thing you do to get your name out there, and never do again. Hopefully whoever is considering doing it, makes it out alive to tell his grandkids how stupid he was when he was 20.
