When I first saw this video I immediately wanted to ride the trail and was wondering where it was. The more times I watch the video the more I realize that maybe it's best if I don't know where it is.

i know where the trail head is, but how easy is it to follow. Directionally speaking. I've wanted to ride it for years and would probably make a solo go of it. Is it fairly well defined?
I would seriously recommend NOT riding that trail solo. If you fall back there, no one will find you for possibly quite a while. Plus GMG is burly, way more fun to rip with a buddy.
I always find riding alone you tend to skip the odd thing here and there and that's not really an option on that trail at all.

I'm pretty sure I rode the first part of the trail a couple of months back (don't know what other trail it would have been?!), but I was on my hardtail and wearing a pisspot so I took no chances, and decided to cut off the trail at a suitable point.
