Digi Video Cam Guys.......Help!!!

Hey,

Can i ask you video guys your opinions on the canon ZR70MC ???

-Is it good for mtb films?
-Does it have good editing software? (i got a pc)

umm, well usually the programs that usually come with the cameras arnt too fancy, and yes those Canon ZR series are a good start. But you will find better quality 1 chip cameras out there with crisper quality.
Idealy you want Premeir well not idealy but that is wide used and is an awesome program if you know how to use it. just play around wiht it use the help functions on it..etc
You will need to buy a fire wire port for your computer and install the port in the back, not complicated at all.
this port will allow you to transfer clips from your camera to your computer at a very fast rate and excellent quality you pretty much get DV quality on your computer, and when you edit it and transfer it back onto your camcorder the quality is rad , even better than it would look on your computer unless you have a good video card.

Dont get a ZR they only have a 1/6" CCD, it is worth it for the extra $ to get the Canon Oputra 10 for $1070. If u dont have the money a ZR70 would be alright but the movie from an optura 10 is 2x the quality. JVC and Sony also have nice camras, but try to get one with a 1/4" CCD.

i used the z40 for helmet cam footage i find it fine for everyday stuff
