**oh come on John, that bike has alot going on besides a new shock position….dont say u wouldnt want one if u could afford it….;) **
I can afford it, but I dont want one. Lower shock, new headtube which means nothing, headtubes don't fail. lower seat mast, heavy rear end, and some new paint tubing make for a sweet new ride!
I'd rather ride a v10, B1 Dh team, giant dh, or a blfa for that matter.

over here in South Australia, my LBS (jt cycles) are selling em for something like $6500. not bad, i would definatly buy one if i was looking for a nice downhill bike.
people were test riding them at the last DH race, only good comments about it came back, 99% of em were like WICKED comments :D looks killa too:cool:
IM BACK!!!!!
Letoy3, Sherman Sliders, CK Steelset headset, profile cranks, protaper bars, blackspire chaindevice, mag30's….etc, etc.
The ONLY thing keeping a V10 from being THEE Ferrari is it's weight.
You know what I like about most trails? They make 'em "technical"….like you're gonna need a 68* headangled DH bike to ride it….fuck that. Straight line between corners.
Now…I'm VERY, VERY confused with this Demo9….pics look like a multi-pivot…but the latest magazine Ad I saw, and this picture I just saw in the new Ad, except the movement show….it's CONFLICTING information!
But even still….I do NOT understand what the multi-pivot accomplish's in this case?!?!?!
Just to clarify..I DO like technical trails:lol:…I'm talking DH courses above.
the bike is very interesting.
the wheel is isolated from the rest of the frame in the same way that a four bar is. however the shock is mounted in a very peculiar position. it is almost single pivot, almost double wishbone. i am very interested in the frame. i'd love to see a plot of the progression of the spring rate. i think it takes a large que from cars' suspension.
also, i bet you the braking will be very kind.
i have never seen a bike with this unique of a linkage. most others are either disguised single pivots or four bars…. except some XC bikes. they take linkage very seriously.

Euuuurah Euuuuuuuughah! Eugh… FUCK!
I've sentenced myself to a life behind bars, great!
looks like it will behave very similarily to a standard 4-bar - the wheel path is pretty much same to the standard bighit, tho the swingarm-actuated shock may slightly effect the progression characteristic of the shock. effectively, its not revolutionary - just allows for a longer seatpost [HTML_REMOVED] lower center of gravity, at the expense of more complexity/higher manufacturing cost. i rode tippies bike briefly - it pedaled quite well, i liked the short chainstays [HTML_REMOVED] it felt pretty nimble for a 9" bike. the $3k frame price does seem steep for a specialized, tho…
