Went up Burke today with my bud Luke and made a short edit.
Tell me what you think!

Was this a self-film?

Very fast rider and some good shots! Which trail was that?

I feel like the few completely out of focus shots were not really successful, maybe with a different lens that would be different.

Otherwise, good riding, shooting, and editing. Have you edited video before?

@Carrot, nope I filmed for him, first time using my new camera :rocker:
@Pedal, Thanks! And I think it's called Tyler Gorz ,not too sure, so many different names for stuff on Burke but it's just passed Braap.
@morgman Yea I wasn't really happy with a few shots, my first time using a camera like this so I'll get better. I've edited just my short gopro vids, nothing like this one really, working on a full edit with this rider.

You could potentially improve your filming by panning your shots, not necessarily following the rider but moving in his general direction. Overall the video was good, some nice riding! :woot:

I have the same camera, but an older model. I know Dan B's tip today is to keep it simple, but if you're committing to a full edit you might want to consider the $130 "nifty fifty" 1.8 lens.

maybe cut a bit quicker after the rider passes. not sure if you were trying to pad things to make 2 minutes or something, but it's a little odd looking at nothing for a second or two on a few shots.

Check my stuff for sale!

Well, by full edit I just mean a long video haha :D Nothing professional.
And yea Monty I noticed that too, I didn't spend much time editing because it was mostly just practice before we get more clips and work on a longer video, but for sure I'll cut the clips more.

This. In addition to amazing portraits, it's great for action shots (though framing's a bitch) and it takes AMAZING video, though you'll be cursing the lack of IS.

Basically, $130 buys your way to the next belt of photo-fu.

Of the 14,000 actuations on my camera shutter, at least half have been with that 50mm 1.8. It's super light, super compact, and cheap enough that you don't worry about it.
