clay, corpsegrinder and castle - you all have fucking sick trail .243s.

only thing is (i gotta say this - not hating on your bikes which are sweet sweet sweet) that i don't like all .243 set-ups - you know, seat, post, stem, bars, tires. it's kinda like wearing head to foot one designer or being a maoist or something.

dig?

Find me a more :thepimp: seat than the silver flake .243 and I'll buy it. I also really like the height of the bars, which are steel and will never break. If you were looking for a black seatpost and stem to go with your frame, why avoid the obvious?

Eddie I got a thomson post, no .243 post anymore,

I like the bars alot the stem was there, and the Saddle is pimp as shit so, there ya go. Hate all ya want. but the .243 bar/stem combo kick ass, the .243 saddle kicks ass and so does the frame so why not?

The DMR wingbar I don't like so that wasn't an option. Could've gone with a different stem but why??????

Saddle said before say it again it's pimp as shit!!!!!!!

and to Dante, my '03 will be retired in Oct. for an 04 because of the beating it has received, (mainly a big gouge in the seat stay and grinded flat chainstays) The lil paint bottle it comes with it is used heavily, the bike is well beaten on, but why post pics of the beaten bike when you have pics of it new. duh

just wanted to address you fellas

edit: also the tires kick ass as well, I notice eddie doesn't like dirt so that wouldn't make any sense to you.

I ride trails and street in the same day, Ride to the trails, ride downtown in the evenings and ride my ass home. So those cute lil street slicks wont work.

Tire also, looking for something in a 24x2.3-2.7 is limited choices

basically a highroller, .243, or kujo.

I chose the .243, they kick ass

didn't mean to be shitty, just wanted to explain my set up since you questioned, it took me lots of thinking as to what I wanted on this bike.

i managed to bend it back flat again but it's gouged and all wonky. was pushing the bike home and speed-dialling patrice at bay ridge bikes who laughed at me for fucking it in less than a week.

very carefully clay!

i came off the jump and knox was standing in front of me so i kind of veered to avoid him and found myself heading straight for this tree at speed so i did that shit you used to do as a kid (erm, ok, last week too :o) when you hit the back brake only and make a semi-circle skid mark on the pavement. it was that or hit the tree head on, so the bike was skidding sideways speedway style and BLAMMO hit the tree. i have this awesome picture on the camera of the sap splattered around the gouge in the tree. crazy!
