Which part are you speaking of? Sorry, Have ridden this trail for years and never known the individual section names. :) Do you mean the part I walked near the 4th switchback?

Ah yes, okay, I ride that section maybe 60% - 75% of the time and for me it's all about how I roll into it.
Typically I like to enter the corner just before it to the left (*note the roots on the right) and then immediately sweep to a right-of-center line. At that point I like to carry enough momentum so that no pedalling (even a half pedal stroke) is required and the feel of riding it is continuous. The bike basically feels like it's rolling over 2 really high steps on a downhill grade. "Chunky" is a word which comes to mind. :)

Thank you! I completely agree. I totally forgot to use the laser-sight. What's funny is I did take the time to adjust the lens angle as the body of the camera was sitting at a weird angle on my XC helmet. Also had the helmet twisted on tight to reduce bobble. Hopefully the next one will be a little less "drunk" feeling. :D

Thanks very much! I really like the side-helmet option. A good friend uses it as well with excellent results on the snow. I like the visor/helmet/nose (hehehe) giving a little perspective to the rider's place in the experience of the ride.
