Why was he celebrating? He didn't land it.

he didn't have to. no one can land a 230 ft cliff drop.
if you jumped off a cliff that big and survived would it not be something to celebrate about?

life is like the sickest trail you can ever think of. it keeps on going, over all the bumps and mud, through the beautiful breezy grass, past the stunning epic views and sailing in the air during the hangtime. and at the end we all roll on ok, ready for yet another trail. another day.

Yeah, stupidity is a great thing to celebrate!

Don't get me wrong, I am glad that he survived, but seriously…just why?

If I'm not mistaken, so long as your gear is still with you (don't think poles count) and you're not too broken to ski out of it, it's considered a landing.

After seeing the latest ski flicks this year, I honestly believe this sort fo thing is becoming the norm, and that is a bad idea. Is someone is going to have to get seriously hurt before we tone this stuff down? I watched one flick this year (sorry I forget the name) that had 3 200+ foot cliffs.

When jamie Pierre jumped last season he didn't even where a helmet, and he landed head first off 200+feet. I call surviving that luck, not skill.

He does one in Stimulus that is 286 feet. He lands on a rock at the bottom, but was ok. I find that absolutly insane. He has some body armor on, which i garrantee saved his life.

that was sheer stupidity. god was trying to get him close to that rock so he could never reproduce, but i guess even god had his jaw drop and never finished getting him to hit the rock. that, or maybe he was put on earth to entertain people. seriously though, i don't call that skill, that is stupidity followed by luck and then plenty of advil and beer to wipe away the aftermath.
