I bet you percapita wise there are more canadians doing yoga than people in India but my point would still be its a stupid idea
There's a big difference between western yoga and Indian yoga too. While western yoga seems to be about aggressively stretching your body to the point of risking injury, Indian yoga has much less physically challenging poses and is more about meditation and breath control and is pretty much always connected to religion in some way.
So Indians who come to Canada and see people doing western yoga in their tight clothes, in a hot room with hip-hop playing in the background, are a little confused, kind of a "That's not yoga." sort of feeling.
But definitely a stoopid idea.
[HTML_REMOVED][HTML_REMOVED]Searches google for what "per capita" means[HTML_REMOVED][HTML_REMOVED]
Let me be the first to say whaaaaaaaat and have another beer…?
30-odd million people in Canada versus 1.3xxx Billion Indians, not including the ones already in Canada/Surrey.
But definitely a stoopid idea.
"Per capita is a Latin prepositional phrase: per (preposition, taking the accusative case, meaning by, by means of) and capita (accusative plural of the noun caput, head). The phrase thus means by heads or for each head, i.e., per individual/person. The term is used in a wide variety of social sciences and statistical research contexts, including government statistics, economic indicators, and built environment studies.
It is commonly and usually used in the field of statistics in place of saying for each person or per person.[1] It is also used in wills to indicate that each of the named beneficiaries should receive, by devise or bequest, equal shares of the estate. This is in contrast to a per stirpes division, in which each branch (Latin stirps, plural stirpes) of the inheriting family inherits an equal share of the estate."
MoFo statistics can be made to twist anything to your advantage
a good example would be that at some point Kispiox had the highest population of PHD's PERCAPITA in Canada, if you evr been to kispiox its one of those end of the road places where you got hipnecks, draft dodgers, back to the landers and 1st nations SO … they were probably all higher as well
Probably a good example of Christy not running communications past her handlers!
A Really stupid comment to make and the fact that she thinks its the yoga people hate as opposed to her publicity stunt (and her) shows how far out of touch she it
CC is so useless….much like the rest of her cabinet and mla's.
Well.. At least I found this solid list of day's she could host the Tai Chi event to seek that dynamic duality:
// What's Good // F U N E R A L // Ultramontane // DEEP SIX //
Now we're talking …
Mayor Gregor Robertson announced today that the aging Burrard Bridge will be demolished on June 21 for safety reasons.
The announcement comes only days after the city announced plans to shut down the bridge to make room for a massive outdoor yoga demonstration, also to be held on the 21st.
After weeks of review and assessment, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that the beloved Burrard Bridge will be demolished, Robertson told press on Thursday.
The 82-year-old structure is structurally and seismically unsound, and it has to come down as soon as possible.
Robertson denied that the demolition would conflict with celebrations surrounding International Day of Yoga.
Oh, I didnt even know that was happening on the same day. What a weird coincidence.
When asked whether the city would provide a timeline for the demolition, Robertson began extolling the cultural and historical value of the Burrard Bridge.
Few structures in Vancouver carry as much historical importance as the Burrard Bridge. Its going to be really difficult for me to watch the bridge suddenly explode and crash violently into the water below on June 21st.
Anyway, its important that we learn to relax.
When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity.
When many people suffer from a delusion, it is called religion.
What?? I was conceived, birthed, edumacated and lost my cherry on that bridge.
:(
Wrong. Always.
Christy was just kiddin around. Man you guys are cerials.

Ummmm …. nope. She spoke to several people about it and announced it in public, according to the Globe [HTML_REMOVED] Mail (article posted a couple of hours ago):
