Anyone else still not been sick?

I've not had symptomatic C-19. If I got exposed and had it without symptoms there is no way to tell without a blood test. I continue to take what I consider to be sensible precautions without going overboard. From the research I've done it seems like getting C-19 at all carries long-term risks we don't fully understand so I am not in the "don't worry about it be happy" boat. I'll keep trying to avoid it.

That's great, I feel about the same regarding long term unknowns.

I've been to weddings, events, gatherings, travelled a bit.. nothing. Gf works in healthcare, has been exposed and tested dozens of times.. nothing. *knock on wood*.

Same situation for me. Lucky, or completely asymptomatic. I'm not the most social person to start with, but haven't been very vigilant about avoidance since things "opened up".

I have always been up to date vax wise but I caught Omicron twice last year.  Both times sucked, but they were comparable to other times I got sick enough to stay in bed.  I caught what I think was Norovirus a few years ago, and it was way worse.

The problem that I have is I have never felt fully better since I caught it last September.  It ended my riding season which really sucked because I ended up losing a bet for most vertical with a friend that was also turning 50.  Now the asshole is taunting me.  :)

I tried to go for a ride in late October and I felt like collapsing.  Since then I keep catching colds and never seem to feel like I am back to full power.  I have lost 15 to 20 lbs as well, even though I have been pretty sedentary.  I am just getting over a bad cold now.

Disclaimer:  I also had a fairly large benign tumor removed from my neck on Feb 1st, so I can't rule that out.  It was first noticed last fall as well, but I was still feeling good until I caught COVID.

I am tuning up the bikes this weekend and shaking off this cold as best I can, so I should see within a few weeks if I can get back to baseline.

I little while back I received an email or a text stating that another booster will be made available this spring. Don't know anybody who's received this booster.

Seems we may be getting closer to knowing where covid came from.

I don't doubt it's a real possibility. Not sure what benefit we'll get out of that knowledge at this point though.

And, is that dude...black? 😳

Header caricature with a silly Communist hat and a lab coat ticked all the boxes eh. Missed opportunity to Photoshop in a Mexican gaucho poncho and a bandolier. Maybe a check from Hunter Biden under the clipboard. 😅

Regardless it's a good article. Just a heads up, UK Times is owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Yeah, I did catch that.

In terms of the benefit I think it would be good to know if this was in fact a result of Chinese govt/army programs as alluded to in the article and what exact role US agencies had in the whole thing. This would help to dispel a lot of the innuendo and nonsense floating around.

Hey Syncro do you ever think there's a logical fallacy to be named that would describe interpeting the studying of and preparing for a likely catastrophe as proof of having caused it if it happens?

False cause.

Kinda like saying houses catch fire because we have fire departments.
