Currently on Big Island for work, live on Oahu.
Did you bring your bike? I vacationed there with the wife about 10 years ago and I remember driving the saddle road back to Kona thinking how epic that descent must be.

I'm on outer islands frequently for work, but no time to ride. Never ridden mtb on Big Island. Road biked there a bit. Mtb access in State of Hawaii in general is pretty dismal.
Everyone I talked to that lives on the Big Island today said they haven't seen the slightest sign of volcanic activity.

Well what would you do? There's lava spewing out of the ground in multiple locations and while it may be quite the experience, fight or flight? One highway escape route was just cut off by lave flow.
Well they were all supposed to be dead from Fukishima radiation by now anyways so I imagine they're just gonna party it up and enjoy the fireworks.

Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.

Should I really ask why that's in quotes?
I don't know if the series of strokes used to write 福島 can be called spelling hence why it's in quotes.
