I don't even recall Ferland in the regular season, but I imagine the response to his play would be a bit different in the than in the playoffs. I'd like to think a healthy Kassian would deter him from running around like he did. That being said, his play was pretty effective against the slow Canuck defense but non existent against the quicker Ducks who put an end to it pretty quick.
I expect he'll come out hard next season and get knocked down a peg or two pretty quick.

Kassian seemed to have everything, size, speed and good hands. He showed so much potential and displayed flashes of brilliance.
He had disciplinary problems (including an arrest) going back to the OHL and as a Canuck was benched, healthy-scratched and demoted to the AHL. Mike Gillis said of him "Weve had lots of experience at dealing with young players like this and thats just it, hes young. Hopefully he can turn this around as a Hab instead of pissing away his talent and natural gifts.
