So I Did the whole torsion bar thing, it didnt seem to do anything, both wheel wells were at 7 inches. So i cranked it up, and drove it into the street and it wanted to die, and would buck. I couldnt get fast enough to get into 3rd gear even. Most the time i can go to 10 mph in 1st, then 20 in 2nd. however this time I got to 10 in 2nd…
So, I killed it, and tried to restart it up, and it just ground. So we push started it, and barely got it up the drive way into the garage again. I looked under and noticed the bolt on the side i messed with was like 1/2 inch shorter then the side i didnt mess with. So i tightened the bolt so both were even in length. Still wont start. I can hear the starter grinding… Maybe my battery is dead, but i doubt it cause the truck didnt run right when it would crank.
Does cranking the torsion bars have any adverse affects of the motor or somthing?
Please help me out guys, all that work put into being able to drive, and now i can get it to crank.
