She is married to James Arbuthnot, who sits in the House of Lords, is a British Conservative Party politician, was the minister of state at the Ministry of Defense and for nine years was the chairman of the Defense Select Committee in the House of Commons, a committee that oversees the operation of the Ministry of Defense and the armed forces. Arbuthnot, who was reprimanded while a member of Parliament for diverting public funds to maintain his two homes, is a director at SC Strategy, established by John Scarlett, the former head of the British foreign intelligence service MI6. The politician also is on the advisory board of Thales UK, a huge arms manufacturer whose corrupt business practices, which included massive bribes to heads of state in exchange for arms contracts, were exposed when some of its internal documents were published by WikiLeaks.
The judge “has a strong conflict of interest,” Melzer said from Vienna when I interviewed him by video link for my television show, “On Contact.” “Her husband had been exposed by WikiLeaks.”
Assange’s lawyers have asked the judge to recuse herself. She has refused.
Two things can be true. He will not likely get a fair trial if this story is true, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, but he is also responsible for channeling Russian propaganda as per the Mueller report.

No thanks. I will admit, CNN used a clickbait title but Consortium News is dog shit and hilarious unless you a rabid fan like yourself. They accuse CNN of journalistic malpractice for claiming that Assange smeared walls of the embassy with shit as a fact without any proof (other than the word of the Ecuadorian government), then go on to say there was so much surveillance there that the incident surely would have been caught on camera and no photo was revealed, therefore "It never happened." So think about that. CNN used a statement by a government official as their proof of a fact, Consortium News used a lack of a photo for theirs. OK then.
The best they can offer here is that CNN has not revealed their source material, and maybe it isn't all true, but the body of evidence clearly shows that Assange was a conduit for Russian hacked materials (DNC emails) and he is too clever to do it unwittingly IMO. At the end of the day, it comes down to the fact you still don't trust Mueller's assertion that Russia hacked the DNC, and I do. The details in his report blew all their previous arguments that it wasn't Russia out of the water and the only thing they have going now is that Mueller didn't provide details of his investigation in the redacted report, which obviously he wouldn't do. This whole thing is just a little too coincidental.
