Drove the Crosstrek.

It's Ok with one person but it would guess climbing hills with 3/4 people and bikes-gear would be a struggle. My 08 outback seems to have more guts.

I like the idea of the Crosstrek hybrid but the reviews on it are not good. The extra weight and underpowered engine looks like a terrible combination. Tons of body roll, handling issues. I really want to get a ev car but until something comes along in the 30-35k price range, in a awd sport wagon, looks like fuel burning is going to be the call.

Going to take an all track for a spin soon. Turbo diesel. See how that goes

I don't see those in TDI engine - only the TSI - which is a gas.

where did you get the TDI option?

You might have missed this whole thing called Dieselgate, it was pretty bad (and expensive) for VW.

CX5 just came out with a turbocharged engine.  Not a lot lost in terms of mileage, and a noticeable improvement in oomph.

RAV4 design changed for 2019 model year.  Might be with looking at.

Car and driver rates the top three crossovers for 2019 as:

1. Mazda 5 (smallest in terms of cargo)

2. CR-V

3. Newly redesigned Rav4

Not a bad shortlist if you're looking to test drive something.

New RAV4 is supposed to have some pretty up to date features.  Not sure if im sold on the looks of it.  If you cant decide between them in the end, I say you just go crazy and convince her she needs a Raptor :)

Rav 4 looks pretty dope. Although it is Toyota prices.

The All track has way more cargo space, still leaning towards that.

the rav 4 looks nice but I never really trust a model that makes significant changes over one year.

A bit too much plastic trim on the exterior of the RAV4.  Otherwise the new body shape is a nice upgrade.
