to answer your question, its because they are bike videos
Why slag free swag?
ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.
Im going to go into the woods and chainsaw some trees down. And right as they hit the forest floor I will have Wade simmons come out of no-where and manual them. Then he will 360 off the last log I randomly chainsawed right before he got there and do a backflip over a treestump I loaded with m80s.
Or maybe to get right to the point, we can load up a bunch of dead animals and make a big gap jump over them.
As for the angles….. maybe if we could pave the forest to roll heavy/delicate camera equipment on.
I really really liked those videos though.
That Lakai intro is very, very, very impressive.

Do you have any idea how pissed skaters would be if MTB's put bombs in the skatepark for our movies!?!?
i've skated a few parks that deserve to be bombed. do it!
I saw that on Digg too. I thought that even if a sport doesn't progress, filming can still sell videos. I sometimes wondered what biking would do once all the tricks had been thrown, and after I saw the intro to this vid, I think there's hope.
Who the fuck cares? It still is a fucking sweet clip.
Santa Claus rules as well. I'm just the kid in the class that tells you he doesn't exist and you get to argue with your mom about it after school.

The sad reality is that it's far easier to get a bunch of camera operators for to shoot urban then it is for trail riding. It has something to do with comfort factor.
word on the street is that the explosions are real. including the last one with fire.
all your mental armor drags me down
People will instinctively do more good if they know they will get credit for it.
Except for Hollywood Undead.

 that's exactly what I was thinking
Dude they actually blew stuff up for that. They poured concrete and put down explosions, one of the skaters was deaf for a week afterwards, I shit you not.
Was that the one that took shrapnel to the face and then bailed. I figured it was all fake until I saw that he seemed to actually get nailed in the face.
Very cool. skate vids/skating are totoally foriegn to me but i can still appreciate teh skill and awesome editing. I am sure the right shot takes skill, set up, planning, editing, and a few takes some times.
WTF, Over?
probably because the majority of the mountain biking population is still into slayer, lucky lager and logger jackets
