Deutschland uber alles
I'm not sure whether you said that on purpose, knowing what it actually means, or simply have no clue. I really hope you have no clue.
It used to be part of the German national anthem… From the middle of the 19th century until the end of World War II. After the war was over, it was decided to abandon that part of the national anthem because it means "Germany shall rise over every nation in the world", which is clearly not appropriate after what happened.
So yeah… it's not part of the national anthem, it's rather one of those things that you don't ever want to say again.
As far as the World Cup goes - I really hope that Germany will take the win. I never really liked the German team as ironic as it may sound, because they never played that well, all they did was play efficiently. But this year they sure do have a great team with some awesome individual players. It really is a pleasure to watch.
I'm not sure whether they'll beat Spain or not tonight. At least the Octopus says so…
