My understanding is that it's the uploading of copyrighted material that is at issue in Canada, not the downloading.
I'm guessing you broke the rule where you don't get Cam sued.

Also, point of clarification on your point of clarification: Distribution is illegal, not just uploading, whether or not aggregating links to pirated material is considered distribution is debatable.

Who was pointing fingers? I just said that if I was a moderator on these forums, I wouldn't want them to become an aggregator for pirated content, It's just an opinion. I'm not the one who is calling moderators pussies and getting super defensive because a mod nuked your "HEY EVERYONE, DOWNLOAD PIRATED MOVIES HERE", thread. I personally wouldn't want to expose NSMB to any number of legal threats, regardless of how empty they may be.
And don't try and paint me as a hypocrite, I download my sh*t discreetly, anything that I've posted on the forums here has merely been to assist other interested parties. Whatever method anyone chooses to access content, legal or otherwise, is up to them, but IMO should be done in a way that doesn't expose others to any sort of liability.
