Where should I travel.

Dear fellow Nsmbers,

I've been all over north america with the exception of mexico.

I have a week (or potentially two) Coming up in November I would like to use to travel somewhere. I've never been anywhere tropical, so I'm thinking south/central america. Aruba was mentioned to me by one of my customers, but looks super touristy and more for family/couples. I will be travelling single/solo, and will be turned freshly 25.

Any suggestions?

I like history, ruins and things like that. And would prefer more of a travelling trip then 100% vacation. Someplace I can do somethings other than just bus tours, but is still safe. Maybe where I could meet other travellers etc? Idk, I'm new to all this.

HELP!

Yucatan. See some ruins. Go snorkeling.

Hungary is an awesome place to visit (and dirt cheap).

Japan is a blast, as is vietnam. Taipei is awesome too.

For deals, you should subscribe (free) to http://www.airfarewatchdog.com/. I find it gets most single city deals before the major travel sites.

More importantly, if you're willing to do some leg work, get into credit cards points programs because it frees up your money to spend on more experiences. I haven't paid for a trip in probably 3 years now and have the following trip planned for feb that's all business class and $169 in taxes.

Philippines has some of the best snorkelling in the world and is cheap. North is sketchy, islands to the south are pure bliss.

I wouldn't go to Central America for any less than two weeks. Unless you're talking about Mexico, then yeah a week is doable.

Or go to the Caribbean, Barbados or something
