It was pretty cutesy for sure to possibly spend just that morning learning about it and then giving the reporters a sound byte.
Though not exactly unbelievable that the man could have learned during his morning tour that quantam physics allows for "a particle and wave to exist simultaneously", or whatever the tiny snippet of information he show boated was?
The Wikipedia article on quantam computing doesn't appear to contain anything near his quote.

So far it hasn't been feasible for real-world code-breaking, but there are probably lots of spooks investing in it.

That is what I thought when I heard it. Trudeau is no dummy and could have easily sorted out a basic understanding of quantum computing like most other people.
