The stats are not in your favor. Young drivers account for a large percentage of reported crashes.

Fixed. ;)

Some yrs back…I was on my way to the drag races at Ashcroft in one of my Mustangs.

That statement has "mullet" and "redneck" written all over it… ;)

fastest ticket 128km in an 90 zone on the Parksville bypass…..worst speeding offence, but not from the cops….220km in my dad's Grand Prix GTP coming back from a race (I passed one of his buddies)….by the time I got to the house to drop off the car my dad had been stewing about it for an hour and the lecture I got from him lasted at least 2 hours…..he still gets furious when I mention how much I liked that car…..

With regards to the graduated licencing thing, here's my $0.02 about the passenger restrictions: As a fellow road user, I would way rather have one car with 6 teens in it, than 3 cars with 2 teens each in my rear view mirror. Which is related to my point, that as a young person who went through the graduated licence, I can say that I drove way worse when I was in a group of several cars than I would have if I was driving everyone myself. It's way more fun to blow by your buddy's car on the highway than it is some stranger's… That's how I feel anyways.

Way back from the old school days of NSMB…

you should see it here. N.B. is usually known to be the easiest jurisdiction in canada to get a license.
1. get beginners permit 7(1), allows you to drive with one person who has a class 5 then a 4 month wait if you take drivers ed
2. class 7(2) only limitation being BAC of 0.00. you get 4 points
3. class 5 - mailed to you 1 year after you get 7(2)

you accumulate 2 points/year to a maximum of 10

oh and the road test is a joke

No. You can buy whatever car you want that fits under a class 5. The only restrictions of your liscense are written on the back.

Cops may target you though, or if youre not in BC you might get screwed on insurance.
