If this is the new normal for say the next 6-12 months, how will we fare?
Humans are social animals, used to meeting others, I think it is part of our DNA, as opposed to Tigers. We are basically still monkeys. And I fear that quite a lot of people out there will develop some serious mental baggage, or the normal baggage gets magnified by social distancing and quarantine.
And I do not even want to talk about the economy.
That is the great unknown. I can see some economies collapsing. It's going to be bad, but how bad and in what way? :-/
Honestly, I have no clue and am a bit apprehensive, maybe even scared.
My Inner Hippie thinks of possibilities, big banks doing their part , etc. But very unlikely.
Just watch how it unfolds day by day, week by week.
But maybe some of us are just too pessimistic and critical. Maybe it is not going to be that bad. What we talk about is basically frantically looking for options. We simply do not know what is going to happen.
Yes, Italy has started a program to boost its economy. The sum is ridiculous. Yes, a lot of people have died and are going to die.
But....we have no real idea about an outcome. Could be like a global crash, could change into something better.
And that is what's really frustrating me.
