To be continued…..

I see one of my frames!

my list is one old as beat to shit 84 GMC seirra classic, ripped the dash out and gave it away, blown rad, needed new alt. and was about 80 bucks ever couple hours, the big ass engine was nice though.

Just because I like boys doesn't mean I want to go out with Mike.

Now that's a unique vehicle.
Probably only about 70hp though, with torsion bar suspension and drum brakes. Gotta love the safety features of the old cars.

No where near - exact same motor as the bugs so 1600cc if you were lucky maxing at about 50hp give or take.

your pic doesn't show up, but i found one that's what my car looked like

Ok you're totally fired. That's a 412. I have a friend that races one at ashcroft. Those babies really hook up.

So are you, LG's pic is a Type 3. They used a flat version of the Type 1 motor.

The Type 4's were a larger version of that. They used the air cooled Type 2 Bus and 914 motor.

Way back when I owned a Type 3 fast back and bought a Type 4 square back project car that I never did anything with.

1st- 1978 mercury monarch. I bought it from my grandpa for $300. It had the 302 with 5.0l of gas guzzling, emission spewing oil burning, ricer stomping power. I drove it for a while and basically ran it into the ground driving it up deactivated logging roads, hauling bikes around and generally hauling ass. I don't think you ever drive as fast as you did in your first car, and this one was no exception.

2nd- 1984 Toyota 4runner. Not much to talk about but a whole lot of rust and bondo.

3rd- 1990 Jeep cherokee. It's been pretty good but the engines making some funny noises. Time to look for a donor engine from the wrecker.

Doh, you're right, I was thinking of the wrong square back.

I'll stick to beetles, though a fastback would be fun to drag.

'79 buick electra park avenue. Gold Velour interior, dingle balls, one engine mount…then we chained the engine to the frame and it stopped chewing the hole in the hood. I should be mentioned that I paid double the asking price. I paid $2.
'81 F250 4x4. 33's, 400CI, C6, stolen piece of picket fence for tailgate. Alleged to have had suspension, I never saw proof.
'87 Samurai. Bought mint and stock. Flopped 13 times, then finally fully rolled hard enough to knock the motor off the motor mounts, twisting the entire drivetrain about 20* to the passenger's side. Died with 30" BFG a/t's, 2" shackle lift, and prelude seats…so comfy prelude seats….
'92 crown Vic, white. Bought a red gumball light and a million candle power spotlight. Much impersonating of officers resulting in free beer ensued. Then we got caught….lets move on.
'91 escort 5spd, crap. Nothing more needs to be said.
'88 Jetta GL, bright friggin orange with a beautiful flake in it…put a loud exhaust a scirocco 4spd, and some BBS wheels on it, drove the snot out of it, then turned it into a racecar, drove it into a wall, cut the roof off, filled it with scrap metal, got $100 for it.
'82 toyota 4x4, glass box, saturn leather buckets…sold the box to pay for the motor swap (blew up the original 22R), got a 9500lb champion winch and a 60" highlift, flatdecked it, relocated gas tank, fender trimming…
Now I need a tow rig…lookin for an F350 diesel 4x4 regular cab long box…or if I find a solid deal a dodge 3500 cummins.

Trucks and Guns.

Yeah, but it's a pretty kickass B2000 though.

Wow, that's hilarious.
Funny thing is, guys have turbo'd those motors, and are making 3-4 times that power.

Amazing what a little extra air will do.

Lol turbos are for sissy :D

My mecahnic still races bugs and his is NA doing 12 sec 1/4's.

Just kidding about the turbos but you have to do a lot more $work$ to the car to make it handle that kind of power.
