When it comes to decisions, usually the contender has to overwhelmingly beat the champ to take the title. Kind of like in baseball where the tie goes to the runner. I haven't seen the fight yet. Good to see Koschek got KTFO.

Watch the fight again knowing this and you'll likely agree with decision. Or at least see where the judges were coming from. Hendricks didn't finish and it cost him.
^^ This.. And as said above you have to "Take" the belt. Hendricks looked great no doubt, but GSP scored higher in significant strikes, and had 3 clean take downs to Johnny's two. I think if Hendricks could have established some decent ground and pound after his second take down he may have grabbed the belt, but he was gassed and couldn't take advantage. I dont think GSP's bleeding is much of an indicator in his fights, when youve been punched as many times as he has by number one contenders the scar tissue is always ripe to split open as soon as he takes a few. Hes been bloodied pretty bad his last half dozen fights

It's Hendricks fault he left it to the judges. Post-fight he said "next time I'm going to finish him". Well he prolly went into this fight wanting to "finish him" but couldn't. We all know GSP doesn't knock out his opponents, but beats them with skill in all areas of the game. I had GSP taking the 3rd [HTML_REMOVED] 5th rounds, but then again Hendricks didn't exactly dominate. Also, the UFC needs a president with more class than Dana White. He can be an idiot at times. Can you imagine a commissioner of a major sport (NHL, NBA, NFL etc) saying the things he does?
