Tsawwassen is the worst place in the lower mainland.

That's a statistic I was quite surprised by in 1st year meteorology.

It's really interesting when you actually experience what it's like to live on the leeward side of a mountain, then moving to a flat area near the coast. The reason why Richmond gets sun while the rest of the 604 region is under clouds.

There's a big difference between Tsawassen and Ferntree Gully, Woori Yallock, and Mount Toolebewong.

I like Eyjafjallajokull as a place name (2 dots above o, but NSMB hates that). People I know who lived in Tsawassen always called it Sunny T-Town. 'Course we call up here the Pearl of the Sunshine Coast. Well I don't know anyone who really says that other than the mayor and the sign near the ferry, but still.

It's ugly, wet and always miserable.

The most rain is along the northshore mountains and continuing into coq,poco ,from white rock I could see the north shore cloaked in heavy black clouds and you know its raining there its not raining down towards the border

but actualy compared to say anywhere in the okanagan valley …vancover is pretty wet [HTML_REMOVED] miserable

BC residents pronounce it 'su-wa-sen', but locals say 'twat-son'.

So they say, and by "they" I mean the random internet site I found that on and die hard Victoria lovers that would like you to think they live in Puerto Vallarta. Apparently only Cranbrook has more hours of sunshine a year in BC. I would have guessed Osoyoos or Lillooet, but what do I know.

There is a direct correlation between elevation and precipitation which makes for quite the spike in annual averages on the local hills. I should see if I can dig up the lower mainland map from that course with both elevation and average precipitation.
