They're both unfit to serve. One should be put out to pasture and the other behind

WOW! We agree.

Who would make a great POTUS tungsten?

Old, white, not so wealthy, moral truthful mentally stable Mike Gravel.

Then Sanders, Warren, Inslee. Not necessarily in that order, maybe Inslee first re climate platform.

Bass as VP.

I'd vote for Biden.  He has way less sexual assault allegations than Trump.

In a country with so few people you have to chose the best of the best.

How did  Sanders and Warren do in the presidential primaries? Not so hot apparently. So why not? who do you point the finger at for that and why?

Remember when that hot-bed of "Left-Wing" media related Saunders to Nazi Brown-Shirts?

How they shat on him saying nationalized health care would destroy their country?

Only a handful of people own all the media.  Their best interests do not align with us monkeys with less than $50,000,000 in the bank.

Sanders concentrated on youth and hispanic voters so took it on the chin from that Clayburn guy who delivered the black vote in Carolina to Biden. Plus there's a large voting block of blacks that are older and align with the CBC who are not "radical" like to play safe + you know Biden=Obummer.

Warren tryed for the left vote while not alienating the centre so predictably got out flanked on both left and right and ended up in no-(wo)mans-land.

Why would blacks vote for an anti-busser and one of the authors of the '94 crime bill which disproportionately affected blacks?

Socialism is still a pejorative in amerikkka. Even the "democratic" kind.

Have you ever spoken to Americans? They don't need CNN to tell them to be scared of socialism, it's baked into the culture. Blaming the media is too easy.

The truth is that whatever you read is no better because I remember and you seem to be misinformed. It was Chuck Todd from MSNBC and he said;

"Hey I want to bring up something that Jonathan Last put in The Bulwark today," said Todd. "It was about how — and Ruth, we've all been on the receiving end of the Bernie online brigade — here's what he says: He says 'no other candidate has anything like this sort of digital brownshirt brigade. I mean, except for Donald Trump.'"

I think that it was stupid to say that, but did he compare Sanders to the Nazi Brownshirts? No. He was talking about his supporters online and how they will pounce on a topic and strangle the conversation of life for anyone not 100% within their bubble, which is/was true.

With 10,000 opinion shows on the news networks, there is no doubt that we are all swamped with propaganda. Once in a bubble, you never have to leave, but the media is also just a reflection of the people because these media tycoons are most obsessed with having our attention as that is how they made money. They give the people what they WANT to hear. There are plenty of actual legit conservatives that would tell anyone that wants to listen that Bernie is a dangerous socialist and they don't need the media to tell them to feel that way.

I think a big part of this hard partisan divide comes from the belief that anyone that disagrees with you is a brainwashed moron that watches too much Fox or CNN or whatever. Or an "inculcated Canadian" as Tungsten puts it.

Perhaps they look at more than your specific examples and consider their careers as a whole. Blacks might also have varying opinions. The '94 crime bill is a perfect example of hindsight being 20/20. It was widely supported by prominent black leaders at the time because the crime was at an all-time high and it affected the black communities the most. You are old enough to know that.

EDIT:  I had to look up Mike Gravel.  The dude is 90.  That is like 12 years past the expiry date for an American.

People don’t like to think contrary to their own belief system because it makes them feel uneasy. This is due to being conditioned from a very young age that being wrong is a negative thing. Until society can switch to the mindset that being wrong is a positive as it presents an opportunity for growth and learning, we won’t advance past the cultural cesspool we find ourselves in.

hindsight being 20/20.

'xactly!

So why don't they see the racially biased legistration that's incarerated so many black men since? I.e. harsh sentences for crack, a black drug and lesser for blow, a white drug.

Under educated so unable to research and form a contrary opinion or ill informed by commercial media (propaganda, really), both?

Gravel/Bass win election. Gravel dies Bass brings in the Cubans to aid in agrarian and healthcare reform heads explode worldwide!

Guy can dream, can't he?

Memory is short.  Even black leaders were calling for stricter punishment in the 90s because of the number of crimes.
