Maybe he's just proud he took it as opposed to calling someone a junkie? You know, like Biden the demented pervert did? Thats their other choice.

Determining context helps a ton when evaluating these sorts of things.

You and your context. Its your convenient scapegoat when necessary or the blanket of doubt you cast over others' posts.

While this may be hard to give Team Trump credit for, imagine if they knew Biden wouldnt take A test let alone any test. So Team Trump decides to broadcast a simpletons exam, one that the other candidate should probably have to take. Not for fairness but because he's a wreck (Biden).

Simple yes no question without going into a 'Trump's this diatribe': Do you think Biden is mentally capable for office?

Convenient scapegoat? Context is about understanding the meaning of something and not giving it the meaning you want to or think it to be. I didn't attach anything to Trump here, I called into doubt your presentation of Biden calling someone a junkie. You provided zero background to that and presented it in a negative light. When someone takes the time to go view the clip they will see that the context is not Biden calling a reporter a junkie, but using those comments as an illustration of why he thought being asked if he (Biden) has taken a cognition test is a bit preposterous. This nonsesne of suggesting I might go into a "Trump is this diatribe" is completely off base and irrelevant to my post as I made no comment or insinuation of any connection at all to Trump. That is all your own doing. So no, there's no scapegoating going on here at all. My comment is a direct evaluation of how your interpretation of Biden's comment needs some reevaluation to appreciate the context of those comments. Don't see only what you want to see, see the other side of the equation too. Assume your first inclination of what's going on is wrong and look for another answer and then compare and contrast those two. Ask yourself honestly if you are getting the story right or if you are letting your biases obscure the truth.

As for your question of whether Biden is mentally capable I can't give you a straight yes or no as I don't follow him enough. I do know that he is prone to verbal gaffes and this makes him look not so smart at times. I do get the impression that his memory is not as sharp as it should be, but that doesn't necessarily have to negatively impact someone’s decision making ability, especially when they have a large staff that is dedicated to providng them with information. He is also a bit handsy which has been chalked up to his "happy grandpa" demeanour, but it makes some people uncomfortable. At the very least he should be aware of how his behaviour is not appropriate and should be eliminating that part of his repertoire. Who knows, maybe he already has and all those clips that pop up are in the past? I know one thing for sure tho, his choice for VP was a smart one that is miles ahead of the other dude.

As VP, Biden got things done and was a great interface between the Executive branch and Congress.

Pence is nothing more than a sycophant.

2016 was anyone but Hillary.

2020 will be anyone but the Dem's.

I find it so ironic that you call Biden the demented pervert. You want creepy? How about all the times Donald has been seen “petting” Ivanka?  How about committing adultery with a washed up porn star and then thinking he could buy the bimbo’s silence (talk about stupid). Or openly admitting to grabbing beauty queens by the pussy. I think they should dig deeper into his relationship With Jeffrey Epstein. As a committed Trumper I think you should step away from the demented pervert stuff because your boy’s track record ain’t so shit hot.

As for Joe being mentally fit, were you around for the Reagan years? And does mentally fit include personality disorders?

I cannot fathom anyone wanting the Donald as their president. He bragged about passing the MOCA - this is the test I give my patients with mild to moderate dementia to assess their cognitive capacity. This is for people who aren't allowed to drive because of their compromised cognition.

This is the test he is so proud of passing. Interestingly, he was told both the name of the test and asked to memorize 5 words - neither of which he still remembers.....the words are always the same, he forgets all of them. The 5 words he came up with were all probably things in the room - using cues like this is a worrying sign to me. People with dementia often use cues like this in their environment to help them when trying to come up with answers. I'd love to see his clock - I bet the hands were wonky. He was also probably so proud of his cube he copied and figuring out the tricky pattern of number - letter -number in ascending order... tough stuff. I also bet he failed the subtracting sevens but lies about getting a perfect score.

I saw him on the news listing off the 5 things from the test and my first thought was that he was wrong. You really see his decline when he fumbles words and can't collect himself to get them right. We all fumble words but we don't lose them altogether as he did with "origins/oranges".  The funny thing is how his supporters love to talk about Biden being senile.

I would like to know the answer to that one. Trump could be disqualified twice as a senile sociopath.

Biden is old and appears to be slipping at times. It is perfectly reasonable to want people in office to be screened for dementia, etc. I think both of them would pass though. There is a big difference between losing it with age vs dementia. Dementia is unrelenting and you can't hide it once it takes hold. Forgetting things is common and not really a huge cause for concern.

People keep forgetting that Biden has had a stutter all his life and confuse that with being slow or senile.

He certainly did.

Taking Biden at his word, that means he had independently settled or signed off on the appointment of right-wing chief of staff Rahm Emanuel (Obama’s first appointment after Biden), Clintonite transition head John Podesta (who proceeded to staff the administration with neoliberals), tax-evading Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner (the architect of the bank-friendly bailouts and foreclosure program, which did nothing to help foreclosure victims), and neoliberal economist Larry Summers (“he’s the smartest son of a bitch,” Biden said). This isn’t to mention the staffing of the National Economic Council, the White House’s economic policy-making arm, with what one journalist called “a team of Rubins” — referring to Clinton treasury secretary and Citigroup executive Robert Rubin, the same one who had engineered the repeal of Glass-Steagall and who now had a direct influence on the administration through protégés like Geithner, who in return had engineered the bailout of Rubin’s bank.

And there it is. "Cynicism is the central strategy of voter suppression." -BA

Sure Trump was a racist misogynistic lying stinking pile of dog shit, but Hillary was unlikable. So why vote?

If the choice was between Trump and an actual tin can, I would line up at 3am to vote for Tin Can.
