Trump gets his second term.  It's obvious at this point both parties are keen to keep the status-quo.

A lot of American's are going to die.  Orders of magnitude will die if the senate doesn't flip.

I keep reading about US hospitals furloughing and laying off HCW's/nurses. I also keep reading that they've re-run the projections and way less people die. Turn off the news for a day or three.

You mean, the private, for-profit hospitals firi ... I mean, "laying off" their workers when they protest about lack of PPE and safe working procedures?

Let me put this in clear terms: Joe Biden, the Democratic Party choice for President- a man with diminished mental capacities, is going against one of the most ruthless contenders in Presidential history, Donald J. Trump. On Bernie’s watch, and with his participation by concession, the Democratic Party will be utterly destroyed in November, and will have richly deserved it.

Why do so many people believe that even though Bernie couldn't turn out the support he needed to beat Biden that he could beat Trump?  It doesn't add up.  Also, Biden has diminished mental capacities and Trump is just ruthless?  OK.  I still believe that Trump is done come fall.  These pieces almost never look at the numbers and explain why Trump will be unstoppable this year.

At any rate, it sure didn't take long for Counterpunch to turn on Bernie.

Uh, the editor has never believed Bernie was anything other than a "sheepdogger". As far as the webpage, articles submitted run about 50/50.

This is why I think Trump will lose. I know there is a long road from now until November but I would like to see a solid argument why so many people think he will win based on what we know today.  It feels like a lot of people think "We got it wrong last time so we will get it wrong again."  Is that what is driving people to believe Trump will win?
