Just to reiterate, the right wing DNC party will only care about taking the presidency if they can elect a captured war-hawk.

They are OK with losing it to bat-shit-crazy far-right-wingers if their bullshit primaries somehow manage to elect someone who cares about the electorate.

DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO CANADA FFS.

I don't agree.  Not that the Democrats aren't pro-war, America has always been willing to go to war around the globe for their "national interest" regardless of the party, but the Dems would rather have the power than give it up to the Republicans.  Every time the GOP has the power they make it harder for the Dems to win anything.  They might not be into Bernie, but they would at least know he won't gerrymander the districts or nominate another couple Kavanaughs.  I also don't think the parties have as much influence that you think they do which is why they have to rely on shenanigans in the primaries and lean on the super delegates as a fail safe.  There are various factions of power within both parties, but the election processes are still the only way to power.  This is how the GOP neocon faction lost to the Koch faction, and it is how the progressives can take the party from the Clinton era centrists if they ever get their shit together.

Canada doesn't have a war machine.  America would never let us.

The right-wing DNC would rather lose with the Bern at the helm and the voter suppression is testament to it.

I suggest shorting the US in the near-term.

That said, if any nation is going to bring about the much needed French Revolution 2.0, it's them.

So 18 year olds who haven't contributed to their society want free everything without having to pay for it.  That'll do their economy a lot of good.

Reducing the trillions spent on military do the economy better. Oh, and you're a douche.

The UK's Trump has decided to encourage heard immunity by taking no action to encourage social distancing. Epidemiologists are now predicting up to a million deaths in the UK. Italy just recorded more deaths in a single day then China reported at their peak towards the end of February. Trump and Trudeau aren't taking any real action.

We talk about how China didn't respond properly at the beginning but our western democratic governments are doing even less. Dark times are coming.

This fucking vile waste of oxygen tried to buy exclusive access to a vaccine (and likely give it to Roche for nepotistic reasons).

I hope he has it and I hope he is going through utter hell.

I hope his lungs fill up with orange foam and he drowns.

The Republican and Democratic parties are two different clans that squabble and feud, but like rival mafia clans they ultimately represent similar interests. Sanders represents the interests of the working class, and therefore necessarily enters into conflict with the establishment elite. And class conflict is stronger than clan conflict. The Democratic party elites knew what they were betting on when they got behind Biden: four more years of Trump. For them, it’s the safest bet.

Douche?  Reality can really bite, eh?

How about Sanders takes care of business at home,  like voting for gun control.  Doubt he will, since he's been afraid of the gun lobbyists since he first was elected to Congress.

We should be electing people who have a history of making the right decision because of proper human morals, not because a focus group you've employed have told you to change your opinion.

It's absolutely fucking crazy we have people defending the likes of Trump, Clinton(s), Biden et al in the face of Sanders.

This fucking guy has been saying the exact same message for FUCKING DECADES.  And it makes complete fiscal sense.

I would love to see Bernie as POTUS, but crushing the GOP is more important to me.

The right-wing DNC would rather lose with the Biden at the helm and the voter suppression is testament to it.

You are going to have to explain this theory. Are you saying that the DNC suppressed Bernie votes with full knowledge that Biden will lose? I think what we saw in the primaries is that the people supporting Bernie are unreliable and that Biden, whatever you think of him, is building a coalition better than Bernie.

Progressives need to keep working on Congress and the Senate.  That is where the power of the parties lives.  The Tea Party/Kochs realized this and it took them a few cycles, but they now wield the power in the GOP over the old school conservatives.  Bernie is great, but without an army of AOCs to move their agenda forward it is pointless.

Absolutely wrong. Bernie would use the office of POTUS the same way FDR did, as a bully pulpit to force his opponents to support his agenda. As opposed to the weak and suppine Obama who caved at the first signs of resistence. Additionally, with Bernie dominating public discourse it would be far easier for future AOC's to primary out the ossified coroprate dems from state and federal office. As well as putting every republican politician on notice.

Here, watch this very presidential address.... https://berniesanders.com/bernie-addresses-nation-health-and-economic-crisis/
