"Hillary wanted to put up wind. Wind. If you ― if you have a windmill anywhere near your house, congratulations: Your house just went down 75 percent in value. And they say the noise causes cancer. You tell me that one, OK? “Rrrrr, rrrrr” ― you know the thing that makes the ― it’s so noisy. And of course it’s like a graveyard for birds. If you love birds, you’d never want to walk under a windmill because it’s a very sad, sad sight. It’s like a cemetery. We put a little, we put a little statute for the poor birds. It’s true. You know in California, if you shoot a bald eagle, they put you in jail for five years. And yet the windmills wipe ’em all out. It’s true. They wipe ’em out. It’s terrible. And I told the other day at CPAC. Great people at CPAC. We had an incredible thing. I had nothing to do. It was early on a Saturday morning. I had just gotten back from dealing with Kim Jong Un. We had a walk. He wasn’t ready for a deal but that’s OK because we get along great. He wasn’t ready. I told him, you’re not ready for a deal. That’s the first time anybody has ever told him that and left. It never happened to him before. Nobody’s ever left. But I said you’re not ready for a deal, but we’ll make a deal. We have a good relationship. We have a good relationship. But I told a story about, at CPAC. The woman, she wants to watch television. And she says to her husband, “Is the wind blowing? I’d love to watch a show tonight, darling. The wind hasn’t blown for three days. I can’t watch television, darling. Darling, please tell the wind to blow.” No, wind’s not so good. And you know, you have no idea how expensive it is to make those things. They’re all made in China and Germany, but the way, just in case you’re ― we don’t make ’em here, essentially. We don’t make ’em here. And by the way, the carbon, and all those things flying up in the air, you know the carbon footprint? President Obama used to talk about the carbon footprint, and then he’d hop on Air Force One, a big 747 with very old engines, and he’d fly to Hawaii to play a round of golf. You tell me, the carbon footprint." - the President of the United States

That was a little too Glenn Beck for me.  What is the theory?

So Trump was just venting his frustration when he was trying to derail the investigation, or when he lied.  He was not doing anything illegal - he just has a bad temperament...

I probably wont summarize it correctly as usual but dare I say it's premise pretty much either laid out all the holes or put holes in most of the talking points that make up the Mueller report. It should burst your bubble in other words.

It will burst my bubble but you can't even summarize it? You are no Bill Barr. Why is it that any small meaningless connection seems like a smoking gun to you when the FBI or Hillary do it, but the Trump is surrounded by criminals it means nothing to you?

Sorry, but even the redacted report is terrible for Trump. I don't expect anything could pop your carbon fibre bubble but it should. He clearly obstructed justice, and I have always been doubtful that it was going to prove a conspiracy enough to indict a sitting president. It was always most likely that the Russians targeted the Trump campaign because they are unethical dipshits that would go along with anything.  The only reason junior is free is that Mueller felt it he may have been too stupid to know what was going on.

Of course, there is always one source we can go to in order to prove this investigation wasn't a witch hunt. It is a comment made when the special counsel was appointed.

It's funny how Nixon's paranoia was never worthy of a defense.  Times have changed.

The Democrats invested everything in this issue. Well, turned out there was nothing much there.

Noam spoke too soon.  That was the mistake liberals made after Barr's summary.  The report is brutal to Trump and it lays out bare his obstruction.  It also lays out the fact that the Russians did successfully influence the election and the Trump campaign.  The only thing that wasn't there was the irrefutable evidence of a conspiracy.  Trump's current approval is the worst it has ever been.

https://www.politico.com/blogs/politico-press/2019/04/23/after-release-of-mueller-report-trump-approval-rating-drops-to-all-time-low-1287656

They’re things like climate change, like global warming, like the Nuclear Posture Review, deregulation. These are real issues. But the Democrats aren’t going after those. They’re looking for something else—the Democratic establishment. I’m not talking about the young cohort that’s coming in, which is quite different.

The young cohort is the one screaming loudest for impeachment while Warren has by far the best policy game that addresses these issues.  Who is the establishment?  Pelosi?  Who doesn't want to focus on impeachment?  Chomsky has jumped the shark.
