i don't like the guy, and i could be wrong, but i think Trumps daughter touching thing is really just fatherly affection and yes, he acknowledges she's beautiful. but i don't think he's molested her from what i can tell (reading, photos)

Ya, I don't think he molested her either, but he definitely has no problem sexualizing her, which is an odd dad behaviour.

Fatherly affection does not include fondling your adult daughter's ass.

I think that was more of a "Still keeping fit... good girl.  Nobody likes a fatty."

And then ... ooh that's tight.  Imma linger here and rub a bit longer.

that would be her hips, not her ass.

comments like that are why political discourse has broken down.

Exactly, that is why to me it looks like he is inspecting her physique, which is fully in line with his priorities.  The little pat is his approval.  He loves that his daughter is hot.

it's true, he sure does. and it's weird. maybe even weirder that she seems to totally accept it, but then again, she would have be the subject of daddy's endless approval her whole life.  everything about Trump and anyone associated with him is bizarre beyond my little mind's comprehension!

So true. I think the situation is just weird. But most of us know that Trump is not the person to act with decency or any moral standard, beginning with his simplistic and narcissistic rhetoric.

Nothing more than politically motivated entrapment.

Russia-gate enthusiasts are thrilled over the guilty plea of President Trump’s former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn for lying to the FBI about pre-inauguration conversations with the Russian ambassador, but the case should alarm true civil libertarians.

That is quite the Flynn friendly article you have there Tungsten.  Lying to the FBI is a federal crime and they would have told Flynn that before his interview.  He didn't simply forget stuff like they are implying.  He lied, in other words, he knowingly committed a felony to cover up those conversations.  They compare this to what happened to Clinton, which is appropriate, but we know what Clinton's motivation to lie was.  What was Flynn's?  He is not another one of Trump's bumbling morons, he knew better.  He lied to the FBI because it was worth it to lie.

We have much more to find out here and the article you linked likes to act like we know all there is to know.  Anything that Mueller has that is more damning won't come out until they are done.

Do you really think Flynn just forgot a few details in an interview and that is enough to plead guilty to the charge?  If that is all he has to hide why wouldn't he fight it?  Do you honestly believe that Mueller, a lifelong Republican is out to get Trump is a political witch hunt?

As fair and balanced as any other I've read by this 40 + year veteran of covering Wash. politics.

Do you honestly believe that Mueller, a lifelong Republican is out to get Trump is a political witch hunt?

Absolutely. Remember Muellers the clown that oversaw the insidious and destructive sting operations that "manufactured" and entrapped over 500 peeps on terrorism charges.

He's a bum. But don't take it from me. Here's a first person account from one of his co-workers.

Neither Comey nor Mueller — who are reported to be “joined at the hip” — deserve their current lionization among politicians and mainstream media. Instead of Jimmy Stewart-like “G-men” with reputations for principled integrity, the two close confidants and collaborators merely proved themselves, along with former CIA Director George “Slam Dunk” Tenet, reliably politicized sycophants, enmeshing themselves in a series of wrongful abuses of power along with official incompetence.

It seems clear that based on his history and close “partnership” with Comey, called “one of the closest working relationships the top ranks of the Justice Department have ever seen,” Mueller was chosen as Special Counsel not because he has integrity but because he will do what the powerful want him to do.

Mueller didn’t speak the truth about a war he knew to be unjustified. He didn’t speak out against torture. He didn’t speak out against unconstitutional surveillance. And he didn’t tell the truth about 9/11. He is just “their man.”

Coleen Rowley, a retired FBI special agent and division legal counsel whose May 2002 memo to then-FBI Director Robert Mueller exposed some of the FBI’s pre-9/11 failures, was named one of TIME magazine’s “Persons of the Year” in 2002. Her 2003 letter to Robert Mueller in opposition to launching the Iraq War is archived in full text on the NYT and her 2013 op-ed entitled “Questions for the FBI Nominee” was published on the day of James Comey’s confirmation hearing. This piece will also be cross-posted on Rowley’s Huffington Post page.
