Either way, people went to jail, didn't they? That my friend is called a winning case, regardless of your conspiracy theories. I doubt any of your speculation of misconduct or conflicts of interest are going to enter the discussion here as well, unless you are watching Fox or their sister networks Counterpunch and Zero Hedge.
Mueller is known as a hard-working pro with no aims for the spotlight. His team is insanely good. These are facts that you cannot dispute. Going back to my original point, none of them are going to risk a case this big by bending rules. They are in this to win and leagues above anyone Trump has around him.

So now we know that the FBI were tapping Cohen's phone. Getting a court order to tap the personal attorney of the president's phone isn't exactly easy. You need to show evidence of an ongoing crime (old stuff doesn't count) and have a federal judge sign off. And that is for regular Joes and Janes.

They corrected the story afterward and it turns out that he just had his phone calls logged and I think got his texts. I am not sure if that requires a court order.
When the smoke clears I think you will find the FBI was very by the book in this investigation. Think what you will about Mueller, but he knows how to build a winning case and making procedural blunders would just be stupid.
Sooo do you agree with former DNI Chief James Clapper who said its a good thing that they were spying on Trump and that it's standard procedure (because they wanted to know what the Russians were doing)? I realize Clapper is not FBI.
