Holy fresh hell, it's almost like they're trying to destroy their party.

Sad that one of the major political parties in Canada thinks this is acceptable messaging. The misogyny is appalling.

On that other thing, you think Trudeau isn't some of those things whatsitsname said? The longer Trudeau has been in power the more his deceit has been exposed. Of course it's not like the Cons are really any better either as evidence by that ad. I don't think the Greens can run enough candidates to even form opposition, never mind that far too many Canadians see them as irrelevant. Plus their leadership is in shambles. And of course the NDP is far too "socialist" for most on the political right. Although Singh has an opportunity to make himself appear to be the best leader of the bunch, he also comes off as opportunistic which is a big drawback. It's scary that with the amount of choice we do have that nobody seems like a viable choice.

Trudeau is a puppet much like O’Toole.

He definitely has more wiggle room today than he did years ago, and if he gets another majority it will continue to grow.

All that said billionaires own both parties and are the chairmen of those boards.

There’s a reason Harper gutted the CRA, the truly wealthy aren’t paying anywhere near the share they did a couple decades ago and now it’s up to us monkeys earning less than $500,000 a year to cover their costs.

Justin hasn’t restored the funding.

You’re all fucking morons if you vote for Liberals or Conservatives.

I'm concerned that I can finally vote for who I want to win rather than who can beat the conservatives. It seems too good to be true.

The old school Liberals let Trudeau be an idealist during the election so they could ride his coat tails back into power from disgrace then neutered him once he was in office.

Since your pm I've been thinking I should give you a break, but hot damn that is a really dumb thing to say. Trudeau is a pompous, arrogant fraud who uses his "charm" on the weak to get what he wants - power. His history is littered with taking advantage of people and being all about image - his. You think Trump was a narcissist? Trudeau sets the standard for how it's done. He may genuinely believe in promoting women and women's rights, but he only does it because it serves his ego. When push comes to shove he's a misogynistic fraud. Everything he does is about serving his own needs.

I really don't care if you give me a break or not, but you are reading into what I said with your own ideas of who you think I am.  I guess that is what stalkers do so I shouldn't be surprised.

I think you are wrong about Trudeau.  I think he is naïve and impressionable and it was the old guard of the Liberal party that he has known his entire life that launched his career.  The Liberals were lost in wilderness after the sponsorship scandal and desperate to find an electable leader and picked Trudeau for obvious reasons and it worked.  They let him campaign however he wanted since they wanted to win and didn't want the taint of their scandals draped over him, but once elected they laid the plans for the party and let him know what was really going to happen.  The funny thing is people always criticize him as being a fraud or a dumb drama teacher but still think he is a power hungry puppet master.  He can't be both, and I suspect it is mainly the former sadly.  His naivety was on full display in the We scandal.  He rammed that through and didn't even try to hide it because he thought it would be cool.  So many of his scandals were politically naïve including the dismissal of JRW since he should have known who she was.

The Liberals rode his coat tails back into power.  I can't see you making an argument against this.  Are you saying he took full control of the party from the old guard?  Look at his cabinet.  There was a lot of women as we all heard about, but there was Goodale, Dion, McCaulay, McCallum.  A lot of names that go back to Chretien and Martin.  Do you think Bob Rae was taking marching orders?  I don't.  I think Trudeau was.

Interesting time to call an election. Emotions are high across the country. I can't help but think we're heading towards full on identity politics in the coming years. I'll cast an honest vote and hope for the best.

I wonder if Trudeau is tired of politics and just phoning it in now expecting to lose and get like early retirement or something.. I dunno this constant yoyoing between red and blue doesn't really get us into any meaningful direction for the future, i think it's high time someone else has a go of it, at least the cons aren't as repulsive as they were in previous cycles, hopefully the social right fuckwits and diet Republicans stay irrelevant.

The dude taught in high school, was a director of the Canadian Avalanche Association & was a snowboard instructor. Zero credentials for being the PM. Anyone who has watched a question period will have seen his incompetence. I almost (not really) have felt sorry for him when he has gotten ripped apart by Thomas Mulcair or Pierre Poilievre.

Not to mention the woman he hired for minister of finance. A failed journalist who has no background in money matters whatsoever.

Sucking up to the communists while pissing off the USA (our biggest trading partner). Just like his dad did. Do all the fools who voted for the mincing pimp know the extent of China's human rights abuses?

Maybe you weren’t paying attention for the last 30 years but sucking up to China has been Canadian policy for a while, irrespective of which government is in power.
