Yes, it is Spam.  Not because of the content of the article, because you constantly post links without any comment on what it is or your views like everyone else.  Sometimes it is hour-long videos.  Do you think anyone is spending an hour just to see what it was you posted?

Anyway, yes the NDP could probably use the fact that the Liberals are desperate to force them to adopt serious action on climate change, but the conservatives could exert pressure in the other direction as well so who knows.  Trudeau and the Liberals look in worse shape today than they did during the sponsorship scandal and we all know how that went for them.

Sheer is out and Erin O'toole is the new  leader of the Cons,

I think if they wana lead Canada the cons first have to  distance themselves from " the stinking albatross of social conservative values " and concentrate on finance

They could  roofie the Sloan like MP's , make midget porn and tell them all to STFU  or else

Did fucking so. It right there in three short sentences.

Anyway the libs can now breath easy 'cause with a retro-nazi like O'Toole waiting in the wings nobody gonna' risk an election. Imo.

They won't. the tool made a speech to all Canadians last night but when he was campaigning he was pushing more of a staunch conservative line. The conservatives haven't been the progressive conservatives for a while, they're more the reform part and they are sticking to strong conservative values. They're too stupid/arrogant to realize that the majority of Canadians don't hold those same values.

Did fucking not.  (Great, now I am 10 year old).  If you are posting a link or video I should have to read/watch it to know what I am getting into.  Your sentences don't accomplish that.

I am not sure the Liberals can breathe easy, but I agree that O'Toole is too socially conservative for the Conservatives to capitalize on the scandal-ridden Liberals.

Apparently Peter Mackay regrets how some people took the "stinking albatross" remark as opposed to a regret for making the remark but I think he was right on.

The cons havent been the Progressive conservative party since 2003 so its really just the appliance party spouting strong conservative social values on abortion/ LGBTQ rights which is all stuff thats been settled and if they were smart they would move on

Even Harper was smart enough to quit flogging a dead horse long enough to get elected

I guess we will see on Nov 4 but I think its very likely the populist ship has sailed when you look at the results to the south in the excited states and brazil, that kind of leader has failed miserably if you  count all the dead

And yes the big one IMO has always been that Canadians especialy from SWO which has all the election power ... are liberals

Erin the Tool ran on the slogan "Take Back Canada". This is semantically almost no different from MAGA.

Take back Canada? From whom? When was it taken? What was taken? Of course, it's a dog whistle to social conservative supporters, who want Canada to be a 'safe space' for hard right religionists aka "old stock" Canadians.

But then again, is it still a dog whistle if everyone can hear it?

Technicaly the old "old stock" took Canada  from the FN but I'm thinking thats the wrong answer.

I believe in  freedom of religion but most important freedom from religion, you may worship the guy in the sky if you want but you don't get to make laws or run anything your beliefs could possibley effect ... total seperation of church and state

I think part of the problem is that they don't have any working dog whistles anymore so they can't pretend to be socially progressive and make the religious folks happy at the same time.  Getting religion out of politics would benefit Conservatives the most but they can't seem to figure that out.

I thought Berniers comments on O’Toole were fairly prescient, they just made the opposite argument that he intended.

Basically, o’Toole isn’t a “real” conservative, he’s a centrist that isn’t committed to conservative values. Which to me sounds like he’s a good choice because that’s who we elect, but to him was a criticism.

Some folks just like making the same mistake over and over again I guess.

True story; Took my elderly father in for some x-rays. The x-ray technician asks him if he can lie on his side. My father replied "Oh, I am like Trudeau. I can lie in any position."

Say goodbye to more of your tax dollars. Trudeau pledged $400 million to give away to other countries to fight covid. We could really use that money here in our own country to fight it. Why does this dude thinks it's up to Canada to help everyone else?

Because that's one of the good things that defines Canada.

While also pledging to increase carbon tax. Which at this point I'll just say canadian carbon tax revenue is going to the UN.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_development_aid_country_donors#:~:text=The%20United%20States%20continued%20to,France%20(USD%2012.2%20billion).

Out of all the development aid donor countries we're actually pretty low on the list as far as percentage of gdp donated goes. It's barely 120 dollars per Canadian per year.

I don't understand where this scarcity panic comes from. We're a 1st world country. We should do and have nice things and be proud of it.
