Trudeau
Well you’re not really giving money to the government but rather the party you would like to see win. In hopes that if they should form government they will bring in policies or projects or legislation which will benefit the donors.
But of course everyone all ready knows that and these posts are rather redundant.
That said I really miss the boob thread.
Fuck Trudeau, Trump, China and e bikes. I’m going for a quick ride.
werd, im gunna go take a shit in the shower and have it metaphorically squish up between my toes as I try and stomp it down the drain. ex actly like what I would do to this thread, everyone should post more about rad stuff I miss the rad stuff thread, although boobs are cool

the federal gov used to give a certain amount of money to every party based on how many votes they got in the previous election but Harper discontinued that because it was just funding enemies of the harper government
I used to support Nathan Cullen with 100$ , after 15 years he is calling it quits so i wonder who will run in his place cuz its pretty solidly NDP up here in the Narth west

Hey guys, did you see my replies?
I take weekends off. :)
As for the NDP, 20% of the vote in the last election and over 30% in the one before that is a major party IMO. More importantly, they are typically a major part of the national conversation.
How much would you donate to a party that has had so little effect on policy?
You are the one that votes for them you tell me.
Usually while discussing these types of issues in person, people use the time other people are talking to ignore them and think about the things they want to say.
In the case of online discussions, what is your excuse?
HAHA. Fair enough.
If one was to expect instant results from their political donations, then yes, why bother with the losers. But... if you were looking to the future and hedging your bets where would you put your lobbyist cash? The way things are going I would think you might want to donate to the top three parties since the NDP could very well beat out the Liberals and if we end up with a minority government (highly probable IMO) you want to spread the love since all three will have influence.

why the fuck would anyone give more money to the government.
Well, the Ex-BC MLA Rich Coleman who had a huge hand in our money-laundering casino's said when asked about international property developers giving their party donations, "They giving money to us will not affect policy."
Yet here we have monkey's in this very forum defending them.
I don't fault Rich Coleman for wanting to steal from us fucking losers.
Am I missing something? Who has been defending the BC Liberals?

This has always been the thrust of my argument.
As long as we concentrate power we allow large interests to buy policy that almost always benefits them at the cost of us monkeys.
Would the Federal Liberals be in this pickle if SNC wasn’t giving their party all that money?
Why do the CRA have zero to show on the Panama and Paradise Papers? (I wonder if ol Billy M has forgotten about his villa again).
The whole IIP thing.
Etc., etc.
Human behaviour has never been so understood and as a result, so easily controlled. If we want to see real tangible change immediately, outlaw political parties.

It the campaigns were 100% publically funded this would work well I think. I would be happy to see them go, but I doubt I will live long enough to witness it. I don't love party politics, but it is what we have.

When everyone resigns themselves to being raped over a barrel and arguing who has the smallest dildo is when I get obstreperous.
If we want to affect change, then let's do it. Even if it's one person a month it's progress. Keep highlighting these political parties are cancers and they only exist to make their members wealthy and their donors super-rich.

Rich Coleman is a pretty sleazy dude. Him & his wife own a really state development company. Hmmmm...I wonder if they ever have difficulty getting zoning passed?

So after last night I'm guessing Trudeau and the Liberals are finished and we'll have a Conservative government come the Fall.
