It's funny to see someone jogging wearing a face mask. If they are so concerned about the smoke, why don't they just take a few days off from running.

is anyone exercising and riding as per normal? i haven't been for a ride for 2 weeks, i'm going stir crazy. what's worse, not riding or riding in the smoke, from a health perspective?

So.. this is a new thing right? Like I think in like 2011 or so was the first time I remember seeing wildfire smoke from Russia in our skies.  And then it was fine for like 5 years and now it's been 4 out of the last 5 years of long periods of heavy smoke.

It's very a unnerving, canary in the coal mine kind of foreshadowing.

It is pretty weird. Covid, moths, smoke, orangey skies, extended dry period. What's next?

Going to be hilarious if that kid doesn’t identify with whatever gender their parents lit up the forest for.

The Mahon air quality station is clogged. Looking out my window and the English bay/ hollyburn sailing club webcams looks like today is a good day for a ride.

Glad to wake up to a blue sky this morning. Too bad the pulp mill stink is blowing this way.
