A sweet timber frame chalet being built on a choice piece of property overlooking the St. Lawrence way out in eastern Quebec.

All of the materials from wood he has milled himself with a small portable mill.

I think the 10' x 10' building allowance is for a garden shed.

A couple of years ago I bought shed [HTML_REMOVED] foundation kits from Sunbury Cedar.
http://www.sunburycedar.com/prod_sheds.html

I added plywood sheathing on the walls and roof, and enlarged and reinforced the doors.
I also enclosed the sofits and foundation with vented alumiunm sofit material to keep insects and rodents out.

This isn't a pic of mine as I didn't add the porch, but it looks similar.
(They have options to add windows and skylights if you want them)

putting this badboy up in Bralorne this summer

Been looking at those as well. Seems like a useable layout. Any chance you could do a build thread? Just a few pics would be cool. Mad repz for you!

10 ft x 10 ft = 100 ft^2 = 9.29 m^2.

So, that size could sneak in under most muni's permit requirements, but mang, it would be tough to fit even a small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living area into that footprint!

My idea was one structure being the living area with loft above for sleeping. One separate structure serving as the kitchen and a third smaller one for the shower/bathroom.

A neat idea, would be cool to connect it all with a huge deck/patio space. Effectively adds to the living space during warm months. Surround it all with funky garden plants and features and the livin is easy.

I think having all of these "outbuildings" would get old fast in a Kootenay winter.
